Although king curtis was prominently known as a sax player for RnB acts such as the coasters and aretha franklin  i didnt know that  he could also have been a very decent jazz tenor player as this set outlines .

Backed by musicians such as nat adderley,oliver jackson and paul chambers "soul meeting" shows curtis to be at home with the music and while their is nothing earthshattering contained here the set features  lovely expressive playing and i particularly dig "jeeps blues"
