The original release of this album on Family Records was mastered at the wrong speed. This cost Family Records its relationship with Joel, who signed over to Columbia Records less than two years after the album's release. As a result of this and the album's lack of popularity, the album was not widely distributed.
This was remastered at the correct speed and released on Columbia Records in 1983 due to demand fostered by Joel's later popularity as well as the popularity of songs such as "She's Got A Way" after live versions were released on 1981's Songs In The Attic.
