a super group of the UK Jazz/Rock/Prog scene of the early '70s, members of Colosseum abound but there is also Graham Bond, with whom Heckstall-Smith recorded back in the '60, gracing this album with his presence, excellent record !!

1st album by the legendary Graham Bond Organization and Colosseum saxophonist Dick Heckstall-Smith recorded with a stellar cast of the most talented UK Jazz and Jazz-Rock musicians, shortly after Colosseum Mk. I was disbanded. The stellar cast includes vocalists Paul Williams and Chris Farlowe, guitarists Caleb Quaye and Chris Spedding, bassist Mark Clarke, drummers Bob Tait and Jon Hiseman, keyboardists Dave Greenslade, Gordon Beck and Graham Bond. Heckstall-Smith composed all the wonderful music recorded here. Sadly almost forgotten, this is a superb piece of music, with fabulous tunes and some most creative playing with plenty of breathtaking solos.
